At the time of its release, this was probably the most eagerly anticipated album in Zambia's music history. Zambian music fans breathed a sigh of relief as the long awaited debut solo album from Joe "The Ambassador" Chibangu was released in July 2003. Known as Zambia's "Ambassador of Music", this highly talented and hard working young man had been producing hits for Mondo Music artists since 1999. Joe wrote and produced this album in conjunction with Kangwa "Exile" Kapampa. The album is presented in a mixture of Nyanja, Bemba, Lozi, Tonga, Lambya and Swahili. Smash collaborations with Alubusu, Maureen Lilanda, Jane Osborne and Nalu certainly make for easy listening, while backing vocals by J.K. and Tasila Mwale add a little spice to an already tasty dish. © 2003 Mondo Music
